Christmas Part 2, with the fam

"Santa" came to my parents house this year. Barney related items were a big hit with Ian. He was sick on Christmas and didn't sleep well. We ended up awake and down stairs at 4a.m. I was very pleased when he went directly to his own gifts even though his cousins were all around as well.

Barney and his own chair to watch Barney!
Ian was also pretty interested in his cousins gifts later on. Maybe Santa should bring him one of these slides next year. It's great, an indoor slide. But where, or where would it go? Maybe next to the tent and basketball goal that are in the middle of the living room. I have officially given up ownership of my house. It is Ian's!

Watching Hayden play his DS was also rather interesting.

Ian with his four "gringo" cousins.

And maybe Ian will be an engineer like Marcelo

How do you open this new toy?

I'm sure I'll get it. The inner workings of toys are just as interesting as the toy itself, or to the engineer type they are anyway.

If the engineering field doesn't work out for me maybe I can study something else. Don't I look studious here?

And of course my communication skills are good, so maybe I'll be in public relations when I grow up. Or at least I'll know how to carry on a good conversation with pretty girls!

Christmas Part 1, at home

We spread Christmas out over a couple of days. These pictures are from our immediate family Christmas.

He liked the gift but was so excited with the process of opening, that was more interested than the actual gifts.

Ian's first gift to his dad, a bag full of balls. He basically picked out Marcelo's present. Then he promptly wanted them back!
The Garmin watch was mine, not his. But do you think he was going to let me open my own gifts?

And books, of course! I couldn't pass up the opportunity to expand our reading collection.

Christmas 2009, just cute Ian pictures

I think it's safe to say that Ian was excited about Christmas!!!
